ALICE WHINCUP

On August 1, 2017, after a life of loving and caring, the “Button” of our family who has kept us joined together for so long is taking a well-deserved rest …. to be with the loving husband and son who were taken from her much too soon.

A wonderful “Mum”, Nana and Nanny as well as a devoted Sister and Auntie, her life was defined by the family of which she was so proud and which she loved so very much.

Her greatest enjoyment was to gather everyone to her table to “visit” and enjoy the wonderful meals she prepared.  No matter how many or how often, she never considered any of it as work and went to great lengths to ensure no one she knew was alone on a festive occasion.  She was a truly beautiful, caring woman of great warmth and compassion and her passing leaves an ache in the hearts of family and friends alike.

Sadly missed – Forever remembered
By
Her loving children: Shirley (Ken), Barry and Linda. Granddaughters: Kim (Mark), Teresa (Joe) and cherished Great-Grandsons: David (Chantelle), Joseph, Kevin and Kenny. Her “Sisters”: Ida and Gill and much-extended family and dear friends.

We count ourselves fortunate to have had her in our lives.

   Goodnight Mum…

God Bless

The world has lost one of its brightest lights. Your mum lived her life with such grace, kindness, generosity, love, fun and the ability to make everyone feel special and incredibly welcome. And, clearly, she has passed these attributes onto all her children. She shall be dearly missed. Thinking of you all with warmest condolences and much love.
