I always admired Aunty Anne as one of the first Canadian born Chinese women who got an education and was able to have a professional career during a time of prejudice, but changing attitudes.

My sympathies for your loss, and regrets being unable to attend the service.

  • Niece / Cousin Patti

Auntie Anne must have enjoyed a full and rewarding life, both at home and professionally. I fondly remember my first summer holiday so many years ago – your mom kindly invited me to join you at Shawnigan Lake. It was so much fun and all four of you made me feel so welcome.

I am sorry to be unavailable to attend her memorial service on Saturday and hope that all will go well. I will include her and your (our) family in my prayers. May warm and happy memories together keep Auntie Anne alive in your hearts and may her grandchildren and great-grandchildren remember her with love and hear great stories from you about her.

Sorry to hear about you mom, Tyea. I have fond memories of her and your dad when you lived on Wenman. Your mom knit me a cowichan sweater in about two days flat, and I wore it for years. I was always amazed by her energy.

My deepest sympathies to the family. May she rest in peace.
