It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Betty, (sister, mother, aunt, grandma, and great grandma). Betty donned her wings and peacefully took flight just before dawn on December 3, 2017. Our hearts are breaking with the loss of a strong loving woman. Betty will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered for her cheeky sense of humour.

She is predeceased by her husband Louis, sons Bob, Fred, parents Nell and Frank Sim, sisters Joyce, Fran and brother Bill. She leaves behind sister Joan, daughters Susan (Larry), Wendi, and Pearl, son Glen (Trish), eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Ross Place, and especially her daily caregiver Wendy for their kindness and caring over the past 15 years.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. A reception will follow.

Flowers are gratefully declined.

    Dear Joan: Betty Mae Laundry
She will always be in your heart and her memories will live with you forever. Betty was such a dear person to know. Her sense of humour always made me laugh. Time is the healer. Do not be sad but be happy for she had lived a long and fruitful life with her wonderful family.
