Betty was born in Souris, Manitoba and passed away peacefully in her sleep in Victoria, BC  at the age of 95. Betty and her predeceased husband, Emmett founded the family business, Flynn Printing, here in Victoria, May 1954.

She is survived by their seven children, Mary, Mark, Matt (Marion Niven), Sean, Tony (Val), Cathy (Wally Byrne), Brigid (Stephen Lowrence); nine grandchildren, Christopher (Johanna), Joe (Alexis), Katie (Christopher Diamond), Tony (Laura), Samantha (Dan Parfitt), Brigid (Dion) Byrne, Michael, John Byrne, Stephanie; seven great-grandchildren, Liddia, Charlotte, Jacob and Olivia, Kara and Sadie, Mable. Betty was predeceased by her sister, Viola Wright and is survived by her nephew, Douglas Wright, his children Leslie (Chris), Richard (Sharon) and four grandchildren.

Her Funeral Mass will be held at St Patrick’s Parish, 2060 Haultain Street, at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 28, 2017. A reception will follow at St. Patrick’s Parish Hall. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Mount St. Mary’s Hospital for their support and care of Betty.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Victoria Hospice Society.
