Conrad was born in Edmonton, Alberta.  He spent his early years in Calmar, Alberta before relocating to Edmonton.  After grade 12, he attended Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and completed Survey Technology graduating with honours.  He worked as a field surveyor for several years in many remote areas and loved working in nature.  He soon moved into management and served as Vice President of McElhanney Surveying and Engineering for 18 years. Subsequently, he was Vice President and co-owner of Universal Surveys Inc. for 18 years.  Conrad was known as a dedicated hard worker and always strived to improve and be successful.  He retired in 2009 and relocated to Victoria, B.C. wintering in Arizona.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Verna Mae Zarowny, Daughter Cindy Lee Buday, Grandchildren William Buday (Colleen) and Kayla Anne Buday, five great-grandchildren, two nephews Glenn Fagnan (Karen) and Robin Fagnan (Adele) and many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Edna Zarowny, his beloved sister Lenore Fagnan and 2 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life and Tea will be held in the Sequoia Centre at  McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm.  If possible, please respond by email to vernaz@shaw.ca, if you plan to attend.

If so desired, tributes in Memory of Conrad may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
