Corrine was born at the 2200 ft. townsite of Britannia Mine to Roland and Minnie, moving back to Vancouver in 1943.  Corrine graduated from John Oliver High School (58) and VGH School of Nursing (61).

Corrine was devoted to her family and a blessing to each of us.  She is survived by Hal, husband of 54 years; daughters Jill (Kyle) and Catherine; grandchildren Klyne and Macy; brothers Bill and Jack; niece Natasha; nephew Joshua; her Aunt Lillian, as well as, numerous relations on the Lower Mainland and around the world.

Corrine lived her life with strength, humour and compassion, was a beautiful letter writer and fantastic listener.  She had many passions in life including swimming, walking, hiking, gardening, music, Girl Guides of Canada, the monthly ‘sewing’ group and reading. Through the years, there were many true friends who shared endless cups of tea which usually involved a good chinwag and some of her fantastic baking.

Corrine and Hal enjoyed traveling locally and abroad, especially their annual holiday on Maui and the treasured family time in Parksville.

We will be celebrating the life of Corrine with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria BC V8Y 1B4.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Hospice.

    Aloha Hal and family
I’m walking that beach on Maui right now in my mind with my dear friend Corrine by my side in the cool morning blush of the sun rising over Haleakala and the golden sand and warm ocean splashing over our feet as we verbally share the adventures we’ve had over the last many years.
I miss her already, but she will ALWAYS be with me.
All my love and hugs, Sharlene

    Dear Hal & Family:

My love and thoughts are with you. Corrine was a wonderful Auntie to Natasha and Joshua; we often discuss the many good times they had visiting with all of you over the years; the walks, Fish and Chips and above all Corrine’s talent in the kitchen!

Corrine was kind to me and we had many a chuckle…..I will miss her.

May you find peace in your heart.

    Love, Dianne

It is with much sadness I write condolence to you, Hal, Jill and Catherine, for the loss of dear Corrine.

I have such wonderful memories of Corrine on our hiking trips years ago. She had such a great sense of humour, was always game for another adventure and a joy to be with.

Unfortunately I will be in California on March 3, and so will not be there with you, but will be thinking of you all.

    Much love,

    Janet Renfroe
