Born Delilah Isabelle Langor on July 26th, 1922, in Thoroughfare, Random Island, Newfoundland, Lilah passed peacefully away on February 16th, 2018 at the age of 95 years.  She lived a full and interesting life, filled with adventurous travel and remarkable kindness to all she met.  She loved her family dearly and captured a special place in the hearts of all of them. She was hard-working, honest, truthful, wise, and humble.  She was the last of her generation and she will be greatly missed by all.

Predeceased by her husband George, parents William and Dinah Langor, and nine sisters and brothers. Left with the fondest of memories are her loving children, Charlie (Susanne), Peggi (Alvin Hewlett), Ralph (Virgie), Nancy, and Carl (Margie Tucker); her 10 grandchildren – Kim, Andrea, Andrew, Jennifer, Bernadette, Desa, George, Sean, Zaren and Evan; and her 11 great-grandchildren – Belle, Emerald, Lavender, Poppy, Honey, Joy, Aberdeen, Logan, Isabelle, Xavierra and Seth;many other extended family members; and, her special friend Mila Quindo.

We, her family, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends thank her for the goodness and kindness that she freely offered to all.  Her wise sayings, wit and respect for all will be something that will stay with us always.

The Funeral Service will be held in St. John’s, NL on February 23rd, 2018 at 2 pm,  and a Celebration of Life will be held on March 4th, 2018 at 3 pm in the Bayanihan Cultural Centre on 1709 Blanshard Street in Victoria, BC.
