It is with sadness that the family of Doreen announces her peaceful passing on May 29, 2017 in Victoria. Our Mom and Nan lived a long and fulfilling life, well loved by family and friends. Doreen was born on Saturna Island on November 18, 1928 to Thomas and Nora Taylor. She grew up in James Bay and along the way met Harry. They raised their family and as it grew enjoyed many holidays of camping, cruises, grandchildren’s sports and all gathered happily for Sunday night dinners.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry; grandson, Stephen and brother, Norm. She will be lovingly remembered by her family: sons, Gordy (Brenda) and Wayne (Nancy); grandchildren, Wendy (Shane), Jim (Jill), Michael (Farrah), Stephanie (Colin), Gregory (Brittney); and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Kaycee, Allison, Leah, Levi, and Isobel.

She will be missed by dear friends, Juanita and Peggy, her cousin, Peter Taylor and many others. We will miss her phone calls and visits to her house where the door was always open and there was a cup of tea and goody waiting. Rest in peace, Nan, you will always be in our hearts.

A family graveside service has been held.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.
