    Dear Karl and Gary,

It is now already two months since your mother passed away. I have just learned the news and I hope you receive these condolences.

I met your mother in 2009. I am honored to have been her friend in these last nine years, years of decline which she faced with humor, grace and patience.

    Rest in peace, sweet Doris.

I am grateful I had the chance to give and receive such love.

    Dear Gary and Karl,
I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family on the loss of your mother. My family, the Scotts and Andersons, lived across Union Street in Bathurst from you before your family moved to Edmunston. I remember spending a lot of time with you and your family when you lived here, and seeing you on your visits back to Bathurst. I remember going with your family several times to visit your Doucet grandparents and family in Beresford. Your mom was a very special lady. My mom, Bathia Scott, just passed away on January 16 at age 95. We are fortunate that both our moms lived to such great ages.
In the it’s a small world department, we have a bit of a family connection as your mom’s brother Gerry Doucet was married to my husband Paul’s mother’s sister Marge. When I was first getting to know Paul’s family, Marge remembered me from my visits to Beresford with you as a small child.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
