I only just learned of Edwin’s passing today, and I am so sorry to hear of it! I moved to Victoria in 1994 and found a hairdressers that I liked on Johnson near Douglas, and happily discovered a great little watch repair shop across the road! Edwin has kept my inexpensive little Birks watch going for 22 years! What a lovely man, so gentle and friendly…and so efficient. I’m proud of my little watch and how Edwin kept it going.

My belated but most heartfelt condolences to Edwin’s family and friends. He was an institution in himself, and I remember reading a wonderful story about him some years ago. I am so very glad I had a chance to know him. God bless, Edwin.

My condolences to your family. I remember my parents bringing me to Mr Lee’s shop as a little girl, and I continued to visit throughout my life anytime I needed repairs or batteries (now in my 30s). Mr Lee had a warm gentle presence and will be missed!

I always went to Edwin’s business for watch buying, repair and clock repairs. He was always happy and had a lovely smile while doing such detailed work efficiently. I will miss him greatly but keep going to that business and keep telling all my friends to do so.
