Frances passed away peacefully at home on Monday afternoon surrounded by the love and affection of family and friends.  She has joined her beloved husband John in eternal life.

Frances was adored for her selfless nature and readiness to assist those in need.  She was a woman of few words with a strong sense of leadership and commitment to a life of service.  She often said she was happiest with a house full of children to love and feed and did this for decades while tirelessly supporting new immigrants as well as fundraising for both St. Margaret’s School and the Greek Orthodox Church.

She leaves behind her son, Ted (Maureen) and daughters, Katherine (Bill, deceased 2014), Marina (Alan), Carla (Barry), Pam (Alan) and Alexandra (Gordon).  As well, she leaves 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren that filled her with joy.

The family wishes to thank Karen Alberts, who helped care for mom these past 8 months and made it possible for her to remain at home.

A Service for Frances will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Ypapanti Greek Orthodox Church of Victoria, Rev. Fr. George Tolias officiating.  Burial to follow at Ross Bay Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frances would be appreciated to the Ypapanti Greek Orthodox Church or charity of your choice.

“She will be remembered for her beauty and grace and devotion to family.”

It is so nice to have known Frances. She was caring, giving and always an active participant in every event. It seemed to me that, when one of her children married, she not only incorporated the “in-law” into her family but brought his family into her circle as well.
My thoughts are with all of you.
