Kathleen died peacefully at home, surrounded by love, after a lengthy illness. She has gone to be with the Lord, and to be with her beloved husband Karl, who passed away in 2013, and who she missed everyday since. She is survived by her loving daughter Susan (Philips), nephews Ron (Janeen), Bob (Joan), George (Sue), great nephews Tom (Shawna) Andrew and great niece Katie.
Mom was devoted to her family, loyal, generous, protective and nurturant; the best Mother anyone could hope for. She loved to cook, bake, do needlecrafts, gardening, crossword puzzles and watch gameshows on TV. Her greatest gift was taking care of the people she loved.
Kathleen will be buried with Karl at Royal Oak Burial Park. No funeral service at her request. There will be a gathering at a later date at our family home to share loving memories of Mom.
Those who wish may make a donation to the Victoria SPCA, 3150 Napier Lane, Victoria, BC V8T 4V5 in her memory.
