Fred was born in Victoria, British Columbia and passed away peacefully at The Heights at Mt. View. He leaves behind his sons Brian, Daryl and Gary (wife Libby), their mother Hazel (June), and his grand-daughter Selena.

Fred suffered a debilitating head injury in 1989 while working in Japan and through sheer determination lived independently until 2 years ago.

We would like to thank all those who cared for Fred through the years up until his final days. He will be missed by those who got to know him.

There will be a final farewell with the releasing of his ashes at Clover Point on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM, followed by a gathering at the Jackson residence.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

    Dear June,
We have not been in touch for many, many years but I was sorry to read about Fred in the Times Colonist. I am not even sure if you are living in Victoria. In any case I would appreciate the opportunity to connect with you for a visit so we can catch up. I trust you and the boys are okay and I am thinking about all of you at this time. Please give me a call 250 598-5943 or send an email ptymchuk@shaw.ca when you are able. Love, Pauline Tymchuk
