Jean was the best person I have ever known. She was the one I looked up to and aspired to be as good as. When I come to a crossroad in my life I think ,what would Jean do, her common sense has always been a good guide. She was my mentor and good friend always ready with a smile and a cup of tea. She was the person I admired most in the world. Her courage sense of humor and total devotion to her family has been my touchstone and inspiration. She will be greatly missed.
My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Very sad news. For me, Jean was one of the pillars of our Gabriola Spinners and Weavers group…a person I looked up to for her strength of character, her sense of fun, her contribution to our many group projects, her encouragement, her generosity and her great common sense. She loved tapestry and when I’m busy weaving my own I will be remembering her work that she directed to members of her family. Thanks to Jean I have been inspired to do the same.
I too will miss her very much.
    My heartfelt condolences to family.
