It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our greatly loved, Laszlo Nagy, Sr., on March 31st, 2017 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC.  He was born on March 28th, 1938 in Forro, Hungary, and served in the war throughout Hungary and Italy. As the youngest of four, he immigrated to Victoria  BC, Canada in 1967 following in his older brother, John Nagy’s footsteps.

In Victoria, he worked as a home builder and carpenter and then on to Mount St. Mary’s Hospital with great pride and appreciation until retirement. Laszlo spent his spare time tending to his property where he had various crops that he enjoyed farming such as beautiful flowers, berries, and quality chicken eggs.

Laszlo met Irene Lovasz and they were married in 1970. Laszlo and Irene had two sons together, Laszlo Rafael Nagy, Jr. and Andras Janos Nagy. Laszlo was as passionate and caring as he was strong and thoughtful and always ensured the happiness and well-being of his sons. He was a very dedicated and involved father. Together they enjoyed trips to the ocean side, catching crabs and visiting local attractions such as the Butchart Gardens, the Museum and Crystal Gardens.

When his boys were moved to Alberta, he would even travel across the Rocky Mountains to see his sons, in his very best efforts to create as many memories that he possibly could.

He is survived by his two sons, Laszlo (Michele) Nagy Jr., Andras Nagy; his brother John (Maria) Nagy and their extended family; as well as his siblings in Hungary, Jolan Barna and Endre Nagy.

A small service will take place on Friday, April 7th, 2017 at 10am at McCall Gardens 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria BC.

Dear Family and Friends of Mr. Nagy I am very sorry to learn of his death. Please know that Jehovah God cares about your pain as well more than any of us could. 1 Peter 5:7 says: because he cares for you. Because he cared he gave his son in our behalf so that we can have hope for the real life of Everlasting! life. John 3:16. Psalms 37:29 says: The righteous will posses the earth, And they will live Forever! on it. Please think of this love, someday according to Acts 24:15 there is going to be a resurrection. It says: there is going to be one of both the righteous and the unrighteous. May you be friendly and warmly embraced with love from all.
