Lawrence (Larry) Michael Lindland passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2017 in Victoria, BC at the age of 70 years. He was born November 12, 1947 in Brooks, AB, the son of Lawrence George Lindland and Muriel Mary Claire Fitzpatrick.

Larry worked hard in all aspects of his life and took his responsibilities seriously. His family and friends felt comfort and security in him. He was a pillar of strength. He balanced that strength with a joy for life, for laughter, for nicknames, witty comments, punch lines and teasing. He loved his family intensely and had many adventures with them.

Larry was gifted at forming personal relationships and friendships with his children, his family, his friends, and his spiritual brothers and sisters. He took the time to listen to others, comforted them individually and sought ways to help them. He loved making people laugh. Larry wanted to better the lives of those around him. He could be counted on as a lifelong friend for many.

Despite battling cancer, Larry’s spiritual hope helped give him peace and comfort. His reliance in Jehovah never wavered and knowing that he would merely be asleep and awaken in a beautiful new world kept him positive about his situation.

He will be deeply missed by his wife LaDonne, his sons Warren (Cathy) and Jerad, daughters Angela, Shauna (Bruce) and Mara, and grandchildren Shaelyn, Seth, Gabriella, Maya, Finn and Owen. Also, by his surviving sister Pauline (Ben) and brothers John (Kim) and Kevin (Lisa).

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2780 Shelbourne Street, Victoria, BC.
