Marian Esther Kane (nee Carter) left us and went to be with her Lord on July 13th, 2017. She was born in Victoria on July 19th, 1920, the youngest of seven daughters and two sons.  Her husband, Bill and son, Liam passed on before, but sons, Brian, Chris (Leslie Ann) and daughter, Mary Anne Day (Wally) continue the line with grandchildren and great grandchildren by them.  Mother was a beautiful, smiling, outgoing woman who enjoyed life. She loved and gave much to others. She sought to follow Jesus Christ in true faith, seen by action.  She is lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Paul, Stephen and Karen Ann.

Special thanks to the staff at Glenwarren Lodge, The Lodge at Broadmead and to Dr. Vaughn, who all cared for her very thoughtfully.

A memorial service will be held at Oaklands Bible Chapel on Saturday, August 19th at 2:00 pm.

Flowers are gratefully declined, but donations welcomed for Camp Imadene, P.O. Box 374, Mesachie Lake, B.C., V0R 2N0.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

My fondest remembrance of Mrs. Kane was her amazing smile and ability to connect soul to soul. Her gentleness was inviting and encircled my heart with peace and laughter. God Bless you all at this time. love Bev.

The family are in my thoughts and prayers at this time❤️ Marian was very easy to talk to and I enjoyed talking with her❤️ About the past year and a half when Leslie Ann and Chris had brought her to church she remembered me❤️ Marian came to my 60th surprise birthday at Dennis and Olive’s and she had given me a card that when you opened it butterflies came out❤️ It was wonderful that she remembered me❤️ after all that time❤️ She was a wonderful godly lady that I am privileged to know❤️ May the family feel the presence of God surround them especially at this time❤️
