It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Agnes Ross Paterson (Reston). Agnes died peacefully and surrounded by love on October 5, 2016 at the age of 90. Agnes is predeceased by her first husband, Wallace Smith and second husband, William Paterson. Agnes did not have children but had close relationships with her family including her in-laws, nieces and nephews and their children. She is fondly remembered for her personal interest as well as thoughtful gifts and cards. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Agnes was born in Victoria, grew up in Oak Bay and continued living in that area. As a girl, she enjoyed sports especially basketball at Oak Bay High School. She enjoyed the outdoors and swam at local beaches. She swam at the Oak Bay Pool until her last few years.
Agnes retired from BC Tel. as manager and spent much of her early retirement travelling the world and flying her small plane locally with husband Bill. She enjoyed many rounds of golf with her friends and she was a member of the Oak Bay Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Agnes’ family wishes to thank the staff at the Heights at Mt. View for their wonderful care and support.
The Victoria SPCA would gratefully accept donations in memory of Agnes.
