To all the Morrison family, our condolences in your loss of Marge. She was indeed a special person -one of the last of the great boomer Mom’s in this neighbourhood. It’s hard to imagine a nicer area to grow up in and a nicer family to share our formative years with. Marge and Newell were always so kind to us -lots of good memories from the 50s and 60s. Moving back to this neighbourhood some 45 years later, it was wonderful to be able to reconnect with them, chatting not just as neighbours, but as old friends, almost family. Susan and I always enjoyed those special chats. It’s just not the same around here without them. Please know fond memories of them will live on with all in our family. May you all find comfort and healing in this time of sadness. With added special wishes from my mother, Marjorie.

Bob and I would like to express our sincere condolences on the passing of your Mother. Marg was a warm and friendly lady who always had a kind word and a smile when she met you. She and your Father, Newell, were a lovely couple and it was a pleasure to know them both.

All the very best to you, their family.

My memories of your mother go back to the 60’s when your mother and father came to the UK, to meet with your English relatives. After that initial visit we met on many occasions when they were in UK. Our most memorable time in 1976 when as a family we came to Canada, the generosity and hospitality we received was outstanding and a never to be forgotten experience. From that time until a few weeks ago, Marge and I were in contact, a truly remarkable lady.

Dearest Brent, Craig, Sue, Kevin and Families,
My heart goes out to each of you as you begin the process of saying “goodbye” to your Mom. Auntie Marge and Uncle Newell have always meant a great deal to our family and we will always appreciate the love, warmth and generosity they showed to us. I recall happy family Christmases together even when Victoria got more snow than normal 😉 Visits to your home were always extra special for all of us and I’m so grateful that both Scott and Allison had a chance to meet both Auntie Marge and Uncle Newell! My only regret is that we didn’t live close enough to visit more often.

Always know that Auntie Marge will live on in our memories. She was a wonderful lady and has touched our lives forever! Thank-you for being family!
Heaps of love and prayers, Grace, Ed, Scott and Allison (and on behalf of Bob and Enid, too)

    Dear Craig,

I am deeply sorry about this tragedy but, at the same time, I am happy that you and Marie-France had the opportunity to see your mother in the last moments of her life. One more page of your family history has been written and now, your life will go on, enriched with the good souvenirs of this woman who gave life to you and who you have always cherished.

To you and to your dear Marie-France, please accept my sincere condolences.

  • Judy

Marge will be remembered by me as a warm, welcoming woman. She seemed to genuinely enjoy people dropping by, and I felt as if part of the family on the few occasions I visited Craig at either the cottage or the home. She has left quite a legacy in her children. My heart and thoughts go out to the family.

We are deeply saddened at Marge’s passing. One of the finest people we ever met, we shall remember her always.

Take comfort in knowing that her travail is ended and your pain shall pass, being replaced with the joy of her life.
