Mom was born in May 8, 1929 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. She and her family – sister Evelyn; parents Herbert and Elizabeth Reynard, immigrated to Canada in 1947. They opened and operated The Oak Bay Fish & Chips on Oak Bay Avenue. The best fish and chips in Victoria. She went on to marry Frederick Rogers in 1953 and they had two daughters, Wendy and Marjie. She was predeceased by her daughter Wendy in 2009. Later in life, she worked at the Gorge Road Hospital. She was an expert knitter from age 5, and loved her kitty Tinky Wink.

    I was so sorry to read about your mom, Margie. I used to work at the fish and chip shop with Susan gilchrist around 1963 to 1965. I remember you as a very cute little girl of around 5 years old.
