It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Mom, who slipped away peacefully on June 12th, 2017 at Broadmead Lodge. After a long life filled with love, caring and devotion to all who knew her, Mom’s time with us is done. Mary loved her faith as much as her family and would walk the half mile to mass every evening rarely missing an opportunity to meditate in the church that was her foundation. The word no just didn’t seem to be a part of her vocabulary, she was always there, always ready and always generous with her time and loving spirit.
Sadly, predeceased by husband Les, children Harry and Linda, and grandson Christopher, she will be forever missed by her surviving sister Exelda, children Maureen and Kerry, daughter-in-law Marylin, grandchildren Lacey, Shawn, Simon, Richard and Charlene and great grandchildren Morgan, Rowan, Christopher, Nick & Sam.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Andrew’s Cathedral, 740 View Street, Victoria, on Monday, June 19th, 2017 at 12 noon. Rev. Fr. Ian Stuart, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.
