Baba and Papa are together once again. Muriel rejoined her beloved husband, Bill, in Heaven on January 13, 2017. Mom and Dad were tremendously devoted parents, amazingly involved grandparents, and extremely proud great grandparents. Together, for over 70 years of marriage, they taught us all so many wonderful lessons about life through their incredible love.
They are survived by their son, Lorne (Sharon) and daughter, Janice Schjelderup. They are remembered forever as beloved Baba and Papa to their 6 grandchildren, Laurel, Russell, Kevin, Allison, Kris and Sean; 13 great grandchildren, Emma, Ashlyn, Taylor, Kayleigh, Bishop, Rhys, Cameron, Jackson, Nolan, Benson, Kaydence, Callah and Zachary.
Muriel was a proud Member and Past Matron of Ruth Chapter No. 22, O.E.S., Saanichton, BC. Bill was honoured to be a Member and Past Master of Mount Newton Lodge No. 89, Saanichton, BC, and Mount Moriah Lodge No. 82, Vancouver BC. He was further honoured as P.D.D.G.M., District No. 14, and a Member of the Scottish Rite.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at South Burnaby (Jubilee) United Church. Their ashes will be interred together in the Masonic Cemetery in Burnaby, BC. Private family function to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to a charity of your choice.

Hi Lorne,
So sorry to hear of the recent passing of your mother. I do fondly remember your dad and your mum from our Lochside Drive days. Both of your parents appeared to have lived a wonderful life full of an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
