Myra passed peacefully away on March 29, 2017 in her 77th year after many health challenges. She never forgot her “Geordie” roots but proudly became a Canadian citizen and held fast to the belief that all people (and animals) should be treated fairly and respectfully.

Myra leaves behind loving husband John; devoted daughter Paula; and in England much-loved sister Jean; nephew Kelvin (Joanna) & family; brother-in-law David (Mila) and sister-in-law Lindy.

Special thanks to Dr. Fast, Dr. Leggatt and Dr. Clark over the years and to Nurses Claire and Bal in ICU at Royal Jubilee Hospital. The long-term friendship with Sherry, Noreen and Laurie meant a lot to Myra.

Friends gathering to be held later.

Donations to Victoria Hospice in her memory would be appreciated.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

    Dear Family,
We came to know Myra through my sister, Maxine, who was a long standing friend of Myra’s.
Over the past few years we have enjoyed Myra’s company, her ready wit, kindnesses and above all admired her determination and courage in the face of her many health issues.
What a wonderful, sweet smiling lady.
    We will miss her greatly.
    Laurie and Bruce Hardy
