  • Carroll Webber

Pat was a high school friend in Westfield New Jersey, and after the 50th WHS Reunion in 1993 she invited Edie and me on a wonderful, unforgettable visit to the Queen Charlotte Islands (now Haida Guaii). She brought her car on the ferry, and knew many Haida up there. The trip up the inland passage was unique and memorable too. She knew about First Nation crafts too,and I got interested in buying a set of carving tools and trying to work on some pieces of balsa. A committed environmentalist, she was adlso a Canuck fan, and so disappointed when the Rangers won game 7 and the Stanley Cup. What a full-of-life person the world has lost!

  • Beverley Clarkson

Patricia was my teacher at Dal many years ago and was inspiring and enabling. I often wondered where she went, tried unsuccessfully to locate her a few times, and am sad that it is only because of a stormy day and time to look again that I find she is gone.
I was ambitious and unskilled and she gave me tools and support to find my direction.
She looks as wonderful as I recall, and toast her every time lift a cup of lapsang souchong. Wish I d had a chance to thank her again.
She was a brilliant light and I hope others got to see it too.
