Rick’s long battle with cancer has come to an end and he passed away peacefully.

Rick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra (Sandy).  Also survived by father, George; brother, Ken; mother-in-law, Lucy; sister and brother-in-laws, Donna (Don), Myrna (Tony); nephews and nieces, Donovin (Kim), Donise (Keith), Shawn (Ally) and Scott (Leslie).  Also, great nieces and nephews, Sophie, Aliyah, Samuel, Matthew and Kingston.  He is predeceased by his mother, Monique.  He will also be missed by his buddies, Peter and Mikey.

Rick loved NASCAR, curling and all other sports.  He was happy that his bucket list was checked off when his Chicago Cubs finally won.  The past few years, he enjoyed sitting in his Man Cave playing his many guitars and having a beer.  Rick had a great sense of humour and always had something to joke about.

At Rick’s request, there will be no service.  Just have a beer or two in his memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Society.

Special thanks to all the staff and volunteers at Hospice and Dr. Nicole Pewarchuk.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.
