On July 14th, 2017, the world lost a special man. Steve passed away after a courageous battle with liver disease and cancer. Predeceased by his father Denis Hull, he leaves behind his wife Diane, his mother Wanda Hull, his brother Mike Shaw, sister Cassie and many friends and relatives.
Steve and Diane were soul mates and best friends through many happy times and she will carry him with her forever. Together for over twenty years, they had lots of adventures. With friends Dan and Jacqui Macpherson, they had a great time on the four days 100 Mile Trail ride on horseback up the Kokisilah River to Eagle Heights. Steve loved animals. Daisy the dog and Jinxy the cat and all the horses and creatures that touched his life. Steve also liked to golf, go to concerts, spend time on the water and loved to travel. He worked for BC Ferries for over fifteen years, spent time as a real estate agent and was a great Health Care Worker with Beacon Community Services for over ten years. He was Valedictorian of his class at Camosun College.
Many thanks to Dr. Trottershaw for her exceptional care, to Dr. Valerie Cowan for her continued support, to the ER doctors for their diligence and to all the caregivers who made Steve’s life a little better.
Gone but never forgotten.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.
