    DEAR NEL and FAMILY,

Our wholehearted condolences regarding Bill’s passing away. He was a good brother-in-law to me, Willie, Nellie’s youngest sister, specially when I lived in Victoria many years ago before I was married. I babysat John when Nel went to the Hospital to have Albert, and looked after Bill and John(nie). Bill helped me out when I had to move to an apartment with my girlfriend from high school in Holland for we had emigrated together to Canada. After 2 years working in Victoria, B.C. as well as in Hamilton, Ontario we went back to The Netherlands in 1967.
But I, Willie, returned to Canada and got married in Ontario the following year. Nel was the only one who came to our wedding from my part of the family.
When we lived in Mission, B.C. for 19 years, we did get to see Nel and Bill a few times, which was a pleasure. Also Roy and I visited Nel in her house and Bill in the care center a few times later on. Bill was able to speak one of the dialect in Holland still, “Overijsels” which was very cute. We wish all of you strength and blessings for your life. Greetings from Roy and Willie from Ontario.
