September 27, 1975 – December 25, 2015

Our lives have been forever changed after the unexpected passing of our dearly loved best friend and partner, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, teammate and coach.

Todd was born in Victoria, BC on September 27, 1975.  Todd is survived by his best friend and fiancé, Michelle Maloff; beloved daughter, Izzabella Sophia Novia Buchan; devoted mother Barbara Buchan; sister, Tammy Buchan-Grant (Dan); nephew, Brodie Harvey (Kresta); niece Mariah Grant; nephew, Kole Grant; many cousins, friends, teammates, his mother-in-law, Beverley Maloff and his dog, Shortbuss.

He was predeceased by his father, grandparents and friend.

Bucky had a lifelong passion for playing baseball and a new found passion for coaching baseball. One of his favourite pastimes was cheering for his hockey team, the Boston Bruins. He was a proud Canadian who loved Vancouver Island and was happy to call it home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets at 10:00 am on Friday, January 8th, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to his daughter, Izzabella, c/o Michelle Maloff at any Royal Bank of Canada, Transit #05050 or send an etransfer to mnikkim@hotmail.com.

Bucky was an amazing baseball player and also coach. i was lucky enough to know him in person and have him coach my team. Even after one year we still can’t and never will forget him. It was a terrible loss for us we really love him and really miss him… one of my best memories with him was the last inning in our championship game and he called me on to pitch… he gave me the ball and said just chuck it in the zone we just need 3 runs…. after coming out ontop from being the under dogs felt great… i won the sportsmalike trophy that day which was a trophy made by him.. i got my photo with him.. i still have the ball and photo… I wish you bucky and pray for the best R.I.P
