It is with profound and heavy hearts we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Adam Lowe on March 30, 2022, in his sleep.  A cherished son of Robin and Wendy; beloved brother of Nicholas (girlfriend Angela) and Angelina; treasured grandson of Lilian Low; adored nephew of Cindy Lowe (Don), Dennis Low, Edward (Kathi) Low, Anne (Mike) Dwyer; and loved cousin of Liam, Tia, Scott (Allison), Krista, Courtnay, and Marina (AJ).

Adam developed a Cystic Hygroma which was discovered at 35 weeks of his mother’s pregnancy. He was continually monitored until he was born at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. As he grew so did the cyst, which started to impede his development. It was removed successfully when he was 9 weeks old, leaving a scar which he wore as a proud badge of honour to his friends.

Adam was known for his friendly and unassuming disposition. He would say or do the silliest things which made us all laugh. Being unknowingly funny, we were always laughing with him and not at him. Adam was often the unintentional center of attention just by being himself. He always had a warm and infectious smile on his face. He was a generous and caring soul with an incredibly kind heart, friends often leaned on him for a sympathetic ear or a soft shoulder.

He attended Christ Church Cathedral and Mount Douglas Secondary Schools where he made many amazing and enduring friendships; many more online while gaming. He was known for his passion for video games and cooking – that was matched only by his enthusiasm for eating. His passion for food was inherited from his Mom’s love for cooking.

Adam attended Camosun College completing the Information and Computer Systems Technology program, he then began his career as a Technical Support Specialist at Checkfront and was just recently promoted.

Always a team player, Adam will be remembered for his great sportsmanship in everything he did. Adam’s friendship, sense of fun, jokes, laughter, and his silly wide grin and big dimples will forever be missed by his family and friends. He will eternally be in our hearts. We love you Adam.

Donations may be made to BC Children’s Hospital or an organization of your choice in memory of Adam.

A private service was held.

Rob, Wendy, Nicholas, Angelina, and family-

I am so very sorry to hear of Adam’s passing. When I think of Adam during his time at CCCS, he always had a crew of friends beside him and a great big smile. He was a very thoughtful, kind, helpful, and sweet kid. I’m not surprised that he continued to spread that energy at his next school and into his young adult years. I imagine he will be missed by many.

Sending you my deepest condolences for the loss of a really special person.

    Remember, but…
Do not stand by my grave and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep
I am the thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the sound of gentle rain.
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the twinkling stars that shine so bright
Do not stand by my grave and cry,
I am not there… I did not die
