Agnese passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2022. Born in Albina, Treviso, Italy on December 26th, 1933, Agnese worked for several years in the United States with her sister Gemma. While visiting her sister Franca in Victoria, Agnese met Franco. After many letters and phone calls, Agnese moved to Victoria and married Franco in 1961. Together they raised a beautiful family and were active members of the Victoria Italian community. She was predeceased by her father, Paolo; mother, Caterina; sister, Maria, brother, Valerio and granddaughter, Nicole. Agnese is survived by her 3 children, Susanna (John), Dennis (Lisa), Rick (Lisa) and 5 grandchildren, Emily, Justin, Noah, Nathan and Matteo as well as her sisters Gemma and Franca and brother Giovanni.

Agnese was full of life and love, and had a quick wit that always kept everyone laughing. She opened her home to everyone and always made sure you were well fed. Her passion for cooking and gardening made her famous for her homemade pizza, pastas and sweet treats. Agnese was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church and The Leonardo DaVinci Italian Assistance Centre where many special occasions were celebrated. She always loved sharing a glass of wine and game of cards with her beloved Franco and their many friends and family.

We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. George and the staff at Saanich Peninsula Extended Care Unit for their kindness and compassionate caring of Agnese.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation Long Term Care Unit at https://sphf.ca/support-the-saanich-peninsula-hospital/  Please select Long-term Care under the Designation selection.

I love the picture we have of her finishing up six huge pizzas, she was so at home in her kitchen.
So great a loss could not be comforted by so few words……With our heartfelt sympathy.
