It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Wilson. Audrey was born in Brantford Ontario in 1938 and passed away at her home on June 28, 2021 at the age of 83. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Bud, her son Brent, and her parents Elisha (Josh) and Rhoda Goodwin. She leaves behind her loving daughter Heather of Victoria, her sister Mary (Dave) of Ontario, her sister-in-law Mary of BC, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Audrey volunteered over the years with Air Cadets Squadron 848 and with the Girl Guides of Canada as a badge secretary and working in the Guide shop. She was always very good about keeping in touch with friends and family. Audrey was very proud that she came from Wayne Gretzky’s hometown. The family would like to thank all those who helped Audrey over the last few years and especially appreciate the practical support and countless acts of kindness of her friends Trudy, Wendy and Janice.

Audrey will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing Heather. Audrey was such a nice and genuine person and I missed seeing her in our office. I really enjoyed our conversations about curling during the season. It was nice to talk with someone who loved the sport as much as I did. I could not keep up with her when discussing hockey though, she knew way more than me! May your memories of your mom bring you great comfort and a few smiles during this difficult time. I will always remember her with great fondness.
