Our loving Mom was born in Victoria, B.C. and grew up in Fairfield, graduating from Victoria High School.

Mom married her high school sweetheart Donald Munro and they had four children. Mom was a true homemaker, she excelled in looking after her family in every way. She loved dogs, baking, aerobics, gardening, family get togethers and the casino. Mom loved the sun and beach, and enjoyed their yearly trips to Maui. Many wonderful memories were created at the family cabin on Shawnigan Lake. Mom lived in Deep Cove and enjoyed time with her many good neighbors and friends, including Bob.

Mom is survived by her family; Doug (Pat), Wendy (Ian), Jill (David), Brent (Kelly), nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many wonderful friends and other family members.

Mom was predeceased by her parents, Victor and May Jones, brother Vic Jones and her loving husband of over 50 years Donald Munro.

Mom spent her last years on Gladston Floor at Selkirk Seniors Village. The family gratefully appreciates and thanks all of Mom’s caregivers. She passed peacefully with her family by her side.

Mom will be missed by many and loved forever!

The family will be having a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations if desired, may be made to the Dementia/Alzheimer’s Society.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

For sometime we were in each other lives. Fond memories of being a teller at Royal Bank Fort & Cook and meeting first Don as a customer.
I met Barb when my sister married into the family.
But with Wendy and I being in the same profession years later I would know a little more on how Barb was doing.
I hope she is with all her loved ones now
Condolences to all the family at her passing.
