It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bryan Joseph Dunn, age 79, on Saturday, December 15th, 2018.
Bryan was born on December 6, 1939, in Timmins, Ontario, to Leonard and Florence (Gibbs) Dunn. Later moving to Sault Ste Marie, where he began his career at Algoma Steele and where he started a family. Before spending the last 20 years of his life in Victoria, BC, Bryan lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario to be close to family. A passionate photographer, Bryan enjoyed creating art with the beautiful landscapes of Lake Superior. Bryan moved to Victoria in 1996 where he enjoyed the oceanic landscapes as well as the culture and peaceful lifestyle.
Bryan is predeceased by his parents, Florence and Leonard, as well as his brother, Leonard Dunn.
Bryan is survived by his sister, Donna Saccorti and brother Randy Dunn, along with his children, Dean (Jill) Dunn, Michael (Aliyah) Dunn, David (Michelle) Dunn, Bryan (Priscilla) Neil. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tessa (Kjell), Michael, Katrina, Alyssa, Bryan, and Eric. Bryan also leaves behind 3 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and their 5 great nieces and nephews.
Rest in Peace, Grandpa. You will be deeply missed by all of those who loved you.
A Private Memorial will be held in Thunder Bay, Ontario for the family of Bryan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thunder Bay Art Gallery or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
