It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bryson William Stone at the age of 91. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Maureen, children Martin, Darren, Robert, daughter-in -law Kate, grandchildren Janine, Derek, Harrison and William and great grandchildren Bryson and Sterling.

His 42-year newspaper career with Southam News took him from office boy at the Edmonton Journal to publisher of the Prince George Citizen and Kamloops Daily News. His accomplishments in each of the communities where he lived are too many to mention. Bryson had an adventurous spirit, from flying Cessnas at the Edmonton Flying Club to scuba diving under the ice in Northern BC.

His sense of humour usually made him the life of any party. Bryson loved people, and treated everyone he met like they were the most important person in the world. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Upon retiring he enjoyed winters in Palm Desert, travelling, golfing and the occasional cigar and martini. The family would like to thank the Gorge Road Hospital and Luther Court for the care and compassion he received in his final years.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.
