Cecile was born in Sudbury, Ontario, to Edna and Everiste Cataford. She was the 5th of 6 children. She married Camille Bourcier in 1947 and they enjoyed 66 years

together, before his passing in 2014. They had 3 children, Lorraine, Norman and Linda. As a military wife, she kept a constant and loving home and saw each move as an adventure.

She was an excellent seamstress and cook and made friends easily wherever she went. She was especially close to her siblings, Jeanne, Pierrette, Pauline, Rita and Don, and summers were spent in Northern Ontario visiting with aunts and uncles while Camille was away on maneuvers.

Cecile took up curling and was on a team that competed in Ottawa and won many trophies. In later years, she and Camille settled in Victoria, B.C., enjoying the milder weather and beauty of the city. She was very involved, volunteering at the Senior Center on Cook Street. She loved to have friends over for dinner and a game of cards and had a rich social life.

Cecile is survived by her son, Norman (Cheryl) Bourcier; daughter, Lorraine Bourcier; grandchildren, Aaron (April), Travis Raney, Jordan Raney, John Bourcier, Camille Bourcier and great-grandchildren, Alexander Montes, Matthew Raney, Solomon and Magnus Bourcier.

She was a loving and generous mother and grandma in so many ways and we will miss her.
