Christine volunteered for me at the Museum and as one of the “Bone Ladies” made Thursdays special. She was gracious, witty and always a bright light. I feel honoured to have met her and I’m sure her family and friends know how much better all our lives are because she was a part of them. Miss you Christine.

    Andy:

It’s been a long time but I wanted to tell you about the times I interacted with your mom.
First, in those long-ago Glenlyon days, your mom was always an advocate on your behalf. You were a fine student so she didn’t have much to do but she always exuded a pride and determination when it came to anything related to you. She was a good mother.
Secondly, I volunteered at the museum some years ago (Titanic exhibit) and had several delightful conversations with your mom about life in general. I was impressed by her dedication to the museum and commitment to educating young people. She was a sincere community supporter.

I remember meeting Mrs. Kiss shortly after I began working in medical imaging (1974) as she proudly brought in her new baby to show the staff. Over the years our paths have crossed at staff functions, and Metchosin farm market. She was an amazing asset to her community and will be missed. Our condolences to her family. Kathy Planiden

  • Jean Haley

    Dear Joe and Family:
I was so saddened to read about Christine’s demise.
Our friendship goes back many years when we were both very heavily invested in the Medical Wives Association. Christine would readily volunteer to do many things and never needed to be coaxed. She had a great sense of humour and a wonderful smile and laugh and was always ready to help.
We also had a meeting at the Castle one time and had a super time there.
    She was a treasure.
    Kind regards,
    Jean Haley

We are greatly saddened about the passing of Christine and our deepest sympathy goes out to her family especially to Joanne. We shared many happy hours together during important family occasions as well as through the medical associations which she so richly endowed. Her engaging smile and positive attitude will be well remembered and treasured not only by us but by many. As long as we continue along life’s way she will fondly live on in our memory. Life has been made a richer experience by having known her and indeed her family. May she Rest In Peace

Dear Joanna and Andy We will miss your mother very much. We remember her being a gracious host at dinner parties either on Redwood or the Castle. She documented what she serve, to make sure she made what you liked and not what you didn’t. The old Victoria General Fairfield radiology group enjoyed many dinners among our small group. It was a very special collegial time made better by the wives. Fondly Richard and Paulina
