Diana passed away peacefully on August 28, 2020 in Victoria, B.C. with her family by her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen I. Ker, son Andrew G. Ker, and her sister, Joyce McCulloch.  Diana leaves sons Michael (Ruth), Philip (Linda), daughter Pamela (Paul) and daughter in law Patrica (Andy).  Diana was the proud granny to Aja (Dennis), Lucas (Allison), Harrison (Brooke), Mitchell, Mackenzie, Ian and Alexander, and great granny to Lia, Avery and Elanor.

Diana was educated at Branksome Hall, Toronto, and settled in Victoria where she met a young naval officer Stephen I. Ker, which led to her life as a Navy wife, accompanying her husband to Greenwich England, Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, and Victoria while raising their 4 children. Their love for travel continued after the Navy and throughout their life as they became avid cruisers. Diana was a keen reader, awesome bridge player, crossword & jigsaw puzzler throughout her life, but her real passion was family.  She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as her many friends she loved like family.

Thank you to the Doctors and staff at Gorge Road Long Term Care. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of B.C  https://alzheimer.ca/en/bc/Get-involved/Ways-to-donate. Because of Covid-19, the family will hold a private memorial at a later date.

My love ans sympathy go out to all the family. Diana and I met in 7th grade and became best friends which lasted until a week ago. I remember the bike Graeme mentioned, it had balloon tires, very new to us Oak Bayers! Such wonderful happy memories with all of you, our bridge games, crosswords too! We wrote letters when she was not here for twenty years and always told each other what we were reading.
a special lady and friend has left us but shall be in my thoughts and prayers for the rest of my life. You are in my thoughts, we were fortunate to have had her in our lives, love Aunty Pat

Heartfelt condolences to all of you. It’s an end of an era for both our families in 2020. I have such fond memories of our early years with our family get-togethers, and “Aunt Di” was always so kind to me…a class act. Love and hugs to you in remembrance of your mother.
