On Christmas Eve, just one month after her ninety-ninth birthday, we lost a truly amazing human being.  Dorothy Purvis passed peacefully in her sleep without fuss or fanfare – exactly as she had lived her life.

To those lucky enough to know her, she was a rock star of kindness and generosity, not a generosity of anything material but a true generosity of spirit, a generosity of love and caring.

Pre deceased by her husband Dennis and her son Douglas, she leaves her children Bonnie (John) Knowles, Fred (Cathy) Purvis.  Dot adored her grand children, Bill, Brian, Laurie, Jaime and Josh.  Her great grandchildren though were the lights of her life – Emily, Maia, Ila, Greta, Alex, Baker, Quinlan, Beckett, Stella, Oscar and Maggie.  She leaves an older sister Lill to mourn her passing, as well as special friends Laurie O’Neil and Karen and Bill Dickson.

In her later years she lived in the care of the amazing staff at The Priory in Langford.

To those many of us that were touched by her grace, she leaves us to remember her ever present smile.

No service by request, donations may be made to the Eldercare Foundation.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.
