Frances Harriet Stocks was born October 29, 1919 in High Tor Saskatchewan.  After living a full and happy life Frances passed away peacefully on March 18, 2021 at Aberdeen Hospital with her loving daughter Myrna at her side.  She was predeceased by her husband Ken of 70 years, granddaughter Zoe, and sisters Jean and Eileen. She is survived by brother Don and sister Joyce.

Frances and Ken spent many years farming in Kelvington Sask. before moving to Victoria to enjoy an easier life together. They both enjoyed travelling in their motor home and canoeing on the many lakes they stopped at.  She was an active member of Parkdale Evangelical Church where she had many friends.  Their home was always open for anyone who needed a place to stay or just visit.  She will be missed by her daughter Doreen (Bryon), son Glen (Bev), daughter Myrna (Frank), 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Many thanks to the kind staff at Highgate Lodge and Aberdeen Hospital. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Elder Care Victoria https://gvef.org/donate/

Due to Covid there will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Auntie Från was a one-of-a-kind lady… so quick to smile. I’m sure she made such a positive impression on all she met! And the way she could recite poems and stories from her childhood was incredible! Our family is fortunate to have many wonderful memories of her and also Uncle Ken. She will be be greatly missed and our hearts go out to the family.

Sincere condolences to Frances’s family. Frances was a beautiful lady who graciously shared the seats in front of the fireplace at Highgate with my mom. They were both quiet and small in stature and found their “warm” place by the fireplace. She always had a ready smile and a gracious manner for both of us when mom would arrive. Thinking of you all at this time. She will always be remembered.

    uld have missed her dearly.

Auntie Fran had a warmth that always made us feel welcome. Her smile and laugh will always be remembered to all she knew. Both Uncle Ken and Auntie Fran were always one of my favorites to visit or have them visit us. My condolences go out to Glenn, who let me ride in his sports car, and Betty and Myrna, who introduced me to the Beatles. I know there is a very special place for your Mom.

    Love always Roy
