After a brief stay at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Frank passed away peacefully on February 17th with his wife and eldest daughter at his side.

Frank was predeceased by his brother Giovanni and sister Rosa, both of whom passed while his family was still living in Italy.  He is survived by Georgia, his loving wife of 53 years; three children Cindy (Sidig), James and Jennifer (Ian); three beloved granddaughters Sara, Julia and Emily; and two brothers Mario (Lori) and John (Berta). Frank will be dearly missed by his family and many relatives, friends and neighbours.

Frank was born in Domanico, Cosenza, Italy, to the late Francesca Gilda and Eugenio Antonio Pagnotta. In 1958 he came to Victoria, BC to join his father who had arrived earlier.  He later met Georgia Simms. They married in 1967 and had three children.

Frank was a carpenter by trade and worked for Greater Victoria School District 61 for many years until his retirement in 2000.

Frank was a gentle soul with a great sense of humour. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and was happiest when tending to his gardens, tinkering in his workshop, and doting on his three beautiful granddaughters.

A private family service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 am (PST). Extended family and friends who would like to attend virtually via Zoom should contact the family for details.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the BC Cancer Research Centre.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Georgia and family, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Frank.
