  • Lynn (and Jeunesse) Hanus

I was sorry to learn of the passing of my cousin Gloria. While I recall being in her presence only a few times, I remember how nice a person she really was! When Jeunesse and I and family lived in Seattle a few years around 1978, Aunt Alice and Gloria took the hydroplane from Victoria to Seattle and we had lunch at Frederick & Nelson’s Department store. We had a really nice conversation and time together, which was very memorable. We were always sorry we did not see more of each other. Jeunesse and I send our condolenses to Sandy and family with lots of love! Jeunesse and Lynn Hanus

  • Warren DeLey (wife Mary DeLey)

Mary and I send our sincere condolences to Bill and the family regarding Cousin Gloria’s passing. I enjoyed our occasional visits (we live in California) and keeping up via Christmas cards and news. She was a lovely lady, as others have rightly said. Lovingly, from Cousin Warren (and Mary) DeLey

  • Suzette De Ley MacSkimming and Roy (Sandy) MacSKimming

Our most sincere condolences to Gloria’s devoted husband, Sandy, and to Carol and Ed’s family and to Bill and Linda’s family and to all who knew Gloria.

Gloria was a dear cousin who always took an interest in our activities and in our family and would make the extra effort to drop by for a lovely visit in Ottawa or Perth whenever she was nearby, or to extend warm hospitality when we were in Victoria. She was quiet and gentle, but behind that quietude was a sparkling sense of humour and energy for life. She will remain always in our memory.

  • Maureen and Wally Clark

A lovely lady who will remain in our hearts. We have such fond memories of Gloria and her warm welcome to us during our all too brief visit a few years ago

  • Sandy Reid

Dear Carol, Bill & Mr. Sanders:

I have many fond memories of Mrs. Sanders growing up being friends with Carol. She was truly a loving, caring lady.

  • Andrew & Daphne Moffat

We will miss her smiles, gentility, and aura of love with which she filled every room she entered – and the lives of all who knew her.

One can not help but regret not having told her how very much she was appreciated and how much love she brought into the lives of others.

She was your wife and mother and Gran —- but our dearest friend and example of how one should live one’s life.

  • Maureen Gauci

To Bill, Linda and the boys,
My sincerest condolences. I will keep you all in my thoughts.
    Huge Hugs,
    Maureen

Gloria and Sandy are part of my memories from earliest childhood and visits to my Cunningham cousins in Ottawa. Their names go along with (Aunt) Joyce and (Uncle) Gordon like milk and cookies.

Gloria was one of the sweetest natured souls I ever met. Deepest and sincerest condolences to Sandy and to Gloria’s children and grandchildren.
