BARR, Harvey Milton, born June 17, 1927 in Edmonton, Alberta peacefully passed away August 29, 2003 in the presence of his family, at home, due to congestive heart failure and complications from diabetes.

Harvey came to BC in 1943 and worked in the mining, logging, trucking and plywood industries, he was a long time employee of Stewart and Hudson Building Supply before venturing out on his own in the trucking and taxi business.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Viola with whom he would have celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary on September 4th 2003. Also daughters and spouses, Joanne and Don Mouner, Janet and Brad Cambrey, Jacquline Vanderwood; grandchildren, Kathleen, Stephanie, Alex and Casey; stepsister, Mary Gray and stepbrother, Frank Dodd of Edmonton; and many nieces and nephews.

Flowers gratefully declined. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association of Victoria would be appreciated.

A memorial service will be held at McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the Graham and Torrey McCall Family Centre.
