Jack passed away suddenly at his residence on January 1, 2021. Jack was born in Regina, SK on November 7, 1939 to the late Fred and Agnes Haun. Hello. I was very saddened to read of Jack’s passing. I worked with him at the Fairfield Thrifty or Sobeys from 1990-2000. Although I was in a different department I encountered Jack on a regular basis. I understood he was considered a great meat cutter and always put in a full day’s work. Although he was fairly quiet he would always wave his huge hand and ask how things were going. We would always have some conversations over those ten years. I had not seen or spoken to him for years but I obviously did not forget him. Always believe his spirit is still with you. Take care.

I was sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. He and I were born the same year. I knew Jack when he worked
at West’s Meat Market (mid-fifties). I delivered meat to Bud West’s customers on Saturday (by bicycle). Jack was a fine meat cutter way back then. I remember him being a hard worker and marveled at his skill cleaning the massive wood meat cutting block. He was always very kind to me.
    May he rest in peace.
    David.
