Jack passed away suddenly at his residence on January 1, 2021. Jack was born in Regina, SK on November 7, 1939 to the late Fred and Agnes Haun. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife of many years, Monique Haun and his brother Ken Haun. He is survived by his three daughters Patricia Roos (Anthony), Teresa Duff (Greg) and Deborah Haun; grandchildren Connor, Korben, Jamie, Jaydis, Talon, Kyle, Keith and Grace; brother Rick (Lily); sister-in-law Gisele, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family meant everything to Jack and he loved them dearly. He began his career as a meat cutter as an apprentice with Bud at West’s Meat Market. He then moved on to Swift’s Meat Packers and then Wellburn’s  Supermarket. When the Wellburn family sold the Supermarket, Jack went to Thrifty Foods, working mostly at the Fairfield store. After 55 years of loyal service as a meat cutter, Jack retired from the industry in 2010.

I was sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. He and I were born the same year. I knew Jack when he worked
at West’s Meat Market (mid-fifties). I delivered meat to Bud West’s customers on Saturday (by bicycle). Jack was a fine meat cutter way back then. I remember him being a hard worker and marveled at his skill cleaning the massive wood meat cutting block. He was always very kind to me.
    May he rest in peace.
