    To Susan,Kevin,Peggy,Cam, Jeff and family,
I grew up with Jane although we didn’t live in the same city, I in Calgary and Jane in Vernon
Our parents met during the war and became best and life long friends.
We as families vacationed together and spent many Xmas’s together.

As teenage girls at Mara Lake where we spent many summers we shared so many fun times and secrets as we were in and out of the water and on beach. So many family memories.
Jane and I both completed our nursing diplomas from the Vancouver General Hospital.

Your mother and sister Jeff was such an integral part of my life in Victoria as we raised our families.
I loved Jane, valued her and now I miss her.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
    Peggy

I’m thinking of your mom today. As you know, today is her birthday. We would always joke that she was catching up to me. We had the loveliest last chat when she called to wish me a happy birthday just a few days before she died. Your mom was my oldest friend. We would walk up Vernon’s Main Street to kindergarten together, and stayed good friends all through school. I remember the many times your family would make the summer trek to Vernon for a holiday, and all the many times we would visit you in Victoria. Steven sends his condolences to you especially Kevin. He always loved your mom’s sense of humour. Please, Susan, Kevin, Peggy, and Cam, don’t hesitate to call and stop by if you’re ever in your mom’s home town. Jim and I will miss her.

I hope that the love of family and friends will surround you through this difficult journey. Lynda(Egleston)Blackstock

To Jane’s family I am very sorry for the loss of your mother. Jane is the first to go from our gang of Heather, Lynn, Sandi, Brenda, Patsy and Joan. We all went to school together ever since grade school at Bearstow Elementary. The last time I saw Jane was at our 50th reunion. I am sure you all will miss her very much. I am so so sorry for your loss of your Mum. I will so miss her phone calls that she would yell JOAN, and I would respond with JANE. It would never have been a great time doing hot dogs without Jane, at Frank Hobbs.
