Born December 12, 1925 in Croydon, England, passed away peacefully and joined his beloved late wife Peggy on Saturday evening July 28, 2018. A gentleman and a character with a great sense of humour even through recent difficult medical issues.
He will be missed by his sister-in-law Vera; nephews Malcolm (Carol) who were with him at his passing, and William; and in England, nieces Wendy (Will), Jean, nephew Terry (Mary); great-nieces Carolyn (Tim), Katherine (Stephen), Claire (Mat) and great grand nephew Charlie. He will also be missed by his longtime neighbours and friends Jenn, Dave, Henk and Jan.
Special thanks to all who cared for him so well during his residency and comforted him during his later palliative treatment at Kiwanis Pavilion in Victoria.
Ken requested no funeral or memorial service and his wishes will be met. His ashes will be combined with those of Peggy and scattered in their favourite spot. Following is a poem Ken used to include in memoriam notices for Peggy.
Her smiling way and pleasant face
Are a pleasure to recall
She has a kindly word for each
And she died beloved by all
Some day we hope to meet her
Some day we know not when
To clasp her hand in the better land
Never to part again.
We believe he is now clasping her hand.
