It is with deep sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of our mother, wife, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend Joy Ross.
Diagnosed in November of 2018 and told she had only months left, Joy fought a nearly 3-year battle with cancer, celebrating more Christmases, Halloweens, birthdays, family vacations, lunches with friends, overnight stays, and trips to IKEA than any of us had thought possible.
Joy’s warmth and acceptance brought a great deal of happiness to many people in the downtown Victoria community with her decades spent at the downtown branch of the Victoria Public Library as well as her countless hours of volunteer work.
Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff at the BC Cancer Clinic at the Royal Jubilee Hospital for all the care they provided her over the years, as well as the staff at Victoria Hospice for making her final weeks comfortable.
