It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Anne (Judie) Kinakin. Judie passed away unexpectedly on September 19th, 2022 at her home in Victoria BC.  Born on August 20, 1971 in Trail, BC, Judie spent the first twelve years of her life in Castlegar, BC, on the family acreage.

Moving with her family to the Island in 1983, she graduated from Oak Bay High School and spent the majority of her life working in the dental industry. Outside of her family, her love for animals and all of nature was a guiding light throughout her life.

Judie was predeceased by her father Paul, brothers Barry and Robbie, and is survived by her loving son Kyle, her mother Annabelle and her brother David, as well as many other family members and friends. She also leaves behind her adorable loving cat, a Siberian Bengal named Remington.

Rest in peace our beloved Judie, we love you and will miss you terribly.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre, at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Saturday, October  29, 2022, at 10:00 am.

So sad to hear of Judie’s passing. We didn’t hear of it till much later. We have fond memories of her as a young girl. She was our cousin. We lost touch with Judie till she was in Victoria, when our niece moved to Victoria. We reunited with her for a brief period after that. So happy to have reunited with her for a brief period. Such a beautiful person -inside & out.

Love you Judie. Miss you forever! Our hearts break for Kyle, your Mom Annebel & brother Dave. Our family is getting so small

Rest in peace my dear cousin ❤️XOXO

I can’t think of Judie without seeing her smile and secretly giggle while she looks over at me and winks.
She loved fiercely, be it her friends, her family or especially her beautiful son.
Judie and I spent so many fun times together, she was such a good friend, we shared the same birthday and no matter how much time may pass, I will always remember her on our day.
Sleep with the angels dear Judie, you will be missed by all who love you. xxo
