B. 16 Jun 1925  D. 29 Jul 2017 Age 92

June. You have moved on to a far better place. And we are so pleased with that, buoyed by your presence within us. Still, in quiet moments, some hearts will ache. You taught us patience, unconditional love and the joys of nature. You loved life and loved us. And oh, how we loved you! With every breath you warmed our souls and lifted our hearts. Now we, eager students, must strive to live a life worthy of your lessons. Here’s to you mom. Skol. Until we meet again…

Kent (Catherine), Randi (Peter), Julie (Les) and Melany. Grandchildren: Adam, Erika (Dan), Harrison, Robin, Tanya (Don), Chad, Leif (Ryan) and Lucas (Mandy). Great grandchildren: Emily, Kaydan, Alexander, Gavin, Leah and Ava.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favourite charity.

It’s difficult to express how your Mum’s fortitude, emotional strength, kindness and welcoming disposition imprinted my life. Our family knew your’s on 60th avenue in Edmonton and then holidayed at your resort on the sweet Clearwater lake. Your Mum taught me how to waitress, work in a kitchen, how important the cleaning of a resort was. Every job done with intention and kindness for the “visitors” and pride in a job or chore well done. I love a cornish game hen dinner because of your Mum too, it just never tastes quite as good as hers.
My experiences of walks in nature, row boat rides, sneaking off to just talk, exploring the wee island… all precious memories that will never fade.
Good night Mrs. Mjolsness, sweet dreams, peace, light and thank-you for your contribution to this universe.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I have fond memories of her when I was a child and teenager growing up in Edmonton. Randi, I hope that you will remember me as Mary Clarke and that perhaps our paths will cross again..if there is a way to contact you please let me know.
Thinking of you and the family at this time…

Very sorry to hear about you Mom passing away. We will always remember Clemence Lambert calling her Mama June and your Mom showing us her Tulip tree.

  • Janet Yaremchuk

Sincerest condolences from the Yaremchuk family. Perry and Janet have fond memories of Dutch Lake resort – the pony, the rabbits, the lake – such fun! Howie and June and their children were so welcoming. Over the past few years, Anna Yaremchuk, from Vernon, always enjoyed having tea with June whenever she came to Victoria for a visit. Anna was especially honoured to attend June’s 90th birthday celebrations. June was much admired by our family and we offer our deepest sympathy.

Sorry to hear of you loss Randi. Read in the TC this morning.
Always hard to lose a mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.
You and Pete, Harrison and Robin are in my thoughts.
At least you had her in your lives for a good long time. (mine passed 3 years ago at the ripe old age of 100.)
