Born on October 11, 1934 in Vancouver, BC, Kaye passed away surrounded by family on April 17, 2023 in Victoria, BC.  Pre-deceased by her loving husband Arnold in 2007, she leaves behind her 5 children: Mark, Randy (Donna), Cindy (Ken), Tim (Carol) & Milan (Sabrina); 12 grandchildren, Cylena, Jenny, Ryan, Jackson, Anna, James, Michael, Theresa, Ken, Laura, Katie & Nicholas; plus 9 great grandchildren.

Arnie and Kaye founded Glass Smith in 1967. Kaye enjoyed going to Bingo, cooking, and spending quality time with her friends and family, and her special dog Kailie, who will all miss her deeply.

Arnie and Kaye loved their adventures together, never knowing where they might end up. During one such trip to Africa, they felt a great need to support and improve schools for the children that they had met, and they made that happen.

Private family services will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations In Memory of Kaye, may be made to the Victoria Hospice Society.

How sad to see the passing of Kaye Smith; my sincere condolences to her family.

Kaye and husband Arne (passed in 2007) have been long time friends in our senior
bike club; she will be missed in our regular coffee sessions, discussing and laughing
over past adventures, and there were many. Heartfelt memories.

Treasured memories of time spent in Victoria and thereabouts, and on Easter Road with cousin Kaye and family. Now, “Little Kaye” must surely be playing Bingo with my Auntie Kaye and my mom Jean in that great bingo hall in the sky – laughing, reminiscing, and feeling blessed, as blessed as I feel, I’m thinking. Love and hugs to all my cousins. ❤️

Tom and I send our heartfelt condolences to Kaye’s family. She was a wonderful neighbour to us for 16 years. She was especially kind, caring, and thoughtful to me when I was very ill six years ago; it really meant a lot to me. I always admired Kaye’s outlook and energy – always on the go, she was incredible! I know she loved her family very much and you were lucky to have her. Take care.
