It’s with deep regret that we inform you that Keith Skelton of Saanichton, BC will be unable to keep his meticulously crafted schedule. We assure you that he would be deeply upset about this unscheduled interruption. He passed away near the ocean that he loved having had a full life as a successful Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan and as a retiree in BC.

Keith was an avid car guy, loved sailing and enjoyed learning through reading. He loved to cook with wine and sometimes even put it in the food. He is survived by his two children Tara (Tony) and Craig, his grandsons Leo and Liam, his sister Pat and his very special friend and partner Kathy. His survivors are grateful for his many amazing friends.

He has requested no service and no flowers, preferring that donations be made to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation. He asks you to schedule a happy life and to remember him in a timely manner.

There will be a Celebration of Life from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at the Army Navy and Air Force Veterans, 9831 4 Street, Sidney, BC V8L 2Z2.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. I enjoyed the time I spent in the Kinsmen and Wa Wa Shrine Drum Corps with Keith. I was lucky enough to run into Keith a couple of times when Sheila and I visited the Island.

Marlene and I were very shocked to hear of Keith’s passing. He and I met at Crewe Grammar School in 1953 and had been friends ever since. He was our best man when we married in 1963 and had visited us in Wales several times in the last few years. We have good memories of Keith’s visits which usually involved trips on the Welsh Highland Railway, the Ffestiniog Railway and lots of good wine! We will miss him very much!
